Stop Motor Failures with ABB's new 35 mm DIN Mount 3 phase voltage monitor the MPS Series. Their universal design means they can protect any size motor from fractional Hp to 2,000 Hp. They MPS series can protect Delta and Wye systems with or without a neutral connection. Unlike current sensing designs, the MPS motor protector will not allow the motor to start when voltage faults are present.

| TURCK's New Look for Analog Sensors |

TURCK is looking at analog sensing in a variety of innovative and unique ways. TURCK is applying traditional analog sensing in two non-traditional housings styles, with the addition of the Bi20R-Q14-LU ring style and the Wi70-M18-LIU5 probe style sensors. These analog sensors are specified with a repeatability of less than 0.5 percent and linearity of 3 percent.
The Bi20R-Q14-LU is a 3-wire, 15-30 VDC sensor with a 0-10 V output in a ring style housing with a 20 millimeter diameter hole. This sensor is ideal for the identification and sorting of small parts (such as screws), as the sensor generates a different output signal for each size part. Position control applications are easily resolved with the Bi20R-Q14-LU by means of a cone shaped target, as well as the detection or measurement of tools (such as drill bits).
The Wi70-M18-LIU5 is a 4-wire, 15-30 VDC analog sensor with either a 0-10 V or 4-20 mA output. Housed in a standard 18 millimeter barrel, the 75 millimeter probe has a linear operating distance of 70 millimeters. This probe style sensor can detect all metals and can be used in a variety of areas, such as the positioning of metal parts as they move over the length of the probe. |

Line of Intrinsically Safe, Programmable Liquid Level Sensors
TURCK Inc. announces the EZ-track R16 line of intrinsically safe, programmable liquid level sensors. The R16 liquid level sensor is a 2-wire loop powered intrinsically safe sensor that is ideal for continuous level monitoring in a variety of liquid and tank designs.
The R16 sensor uses magnetostrictive technology to monitor the position of a magnetic float along the active stroke of the sensing tube that is then converted into a configurable 4-20 mA output. The IP 68 rated R16 liquid level sensors are available in a rigid stainless steel housing or a flexible PVDF design. The probe lengths vary between 20 and 288 inches. The stainless steel version is also available with an optional food grade or 3A rated sanitary finish for use in an array of food service, dairy and beverage applications. A variety of floats, tri-clamp fittings and accessories are available to fit virtually any application requirements.
All the electronics for the EZ-track R16 sensor are incorporated within the 5/8 inch sensing rod which eliminates the need for an electronics enclosure at the top of the sensor. When ordered with the standard 4-pin minifast ® quick disconnect, this feature offers greater mounting options and a faster, more reliable installation. The R16 liquid level sensor has a resolution of 0.02 inch of full scale, and an accuracy of 0.1 percent over the full 4-20 mA span, making it the ideal sensor for applications where continuous level position is required. |
